Legacy of Caring Gala 2018
Passavant Hospital Foundation hosted the Fifth Annual Legacy of Caring Gala on Thursday, September 27, 2018 with a crowd of over 430 guests. The evening celebrated the 2018 Legacy of Caring Honorees for their incredible contributions to our hospital, patients, and community. Special thanks to Marion Swanson Piotrowski, Gala Chair; Scott E. Celin, MD, Physician Chair; D. Kelly Agnew, MD, emcee; and the Legacy of Caring Gala Committee.

Legacy of Caring Gala 2017
A sell-out crowd of 460 guests celebrated the 4th Annual Legacy of Caring Gala on Thursday, September 28, 2017. The event was emceed by D. Kelly Agnew, MD and included musical entertainment by the Pittsburgh Penguins' own Jeff Jimerson and children of UPMC Passavant staff Mallory Farah and Lauren Rajasenan. Over $141,000 was raised including $25,000 for patient assistance. Click here to view a video testimonial from one grateful family.

Legacy of Caring Gala 2016
The celebration was held on Thursday October 13, 2016 at the Marriott North in Cranberry. Passavant Hospital Foundation honored seven individuals who have served long and well to make our hospital a world-class facility in our backyard.

Legacy of Caring Gala 2015
Passavant Hospital Foundation hosted the Second Annual Legacy of Caring Gala at Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry Township on October 8, 2015. The honorees were:

Golden Anniversary 1964-2014
On October 9, 2014, Passavant Hospital Foundation celebrated the 50th anniversary of bringing Passavant Hospital to the North Hills with the presentation of the inaugural Legacy of Caring Awards, recognizing those individuals who have played a vital role growing UPMC Passavant into a world-class hospital.
Seven awards, one for each decade, and two special awards, were presented to the following awardees:
First Decade, 1964-73: John Earl, A. Linn & Jesse Weigel, MDs
Second Decade, 1974-83: Lewis (Pete) & Scott Nettrour, MDs
Third Decade, 1984-93: Ralph Gaudio, MD
Fourth Decade, 1994-2003: Libby Shumaker, RN, MSN
Fifth Decade, 2004-2014: Matt El-Kadi, MD
Legacy of Service: Virginia Cole
James and Henrietta Lear Legacy of Leadership: Patricia Kutcher
Additional honorees included William J. Bentz, DO, Joan M. Bodnar, RN, LouAnn Brindle, MSN, RN, CPCS, Ralph DeStefano, JD, Robert Ford, MD, Marjorie Gould, MBA, MSN, RN, Julie Kincak, and Elsie Kuba.
